City bike exposes credit card information by accident

 City bike, New York sharing company, in a letter last week informed more than 1000 account holder’s confidential personal information are exposed including credit card numbers because of system glitch.

“The sensitive information that may have been exposed to unauthorized access includes your name, contact information, and information related to your credit card identified above including your credit card number, expiration date and security code,” read a letter by Mashable.

An error log has caused the problem that was also easily accessible from the City Bike website. However, from the letter NYC Bike Share president Michael Jones wrote  that there is no evidence that somebody may have accessed and hacked the data.

The flaw  affected 1,174 customers, those who signed up for $95 annual memberships of its program. Credit card information may also have contained, username, password, and security question and answer.
