Comelec website down in the middle of Barangay election

Today, October 28 is the set date of Philippines’ Barangay Elections where barangay captains and barangay council will be elected throughout the country.

The very day where the Comelec website is much needed for election information, it went down until this very moment.

Is the website hit by Denial of service? Or just flooded with visitors so it suffers outage of service? You decide.

Note that we don’t see any implication that local hackers are responsible of Comelec website’s downtime.
