According to symantec, it has identified a fake application in the Amazon app store, named “Password Wifi Hacker Plus.”
What the application does as stated by its developers is to crack Wi-Fi passwords. But those claims are misleading.
“The application, named Password Wifi Hacker Plus, purports to crack passwords of nearby Wi-Fi networks. However, the application only pretends to do so and displays fake dialog boxes,” symantec said.
“The application is bundled with six different advertising network components, some of which are quite aggressive,” the experts added.
Symantec already notified Amazon of the existence of this fake application, Password Wifi Hacker Plus.
Note: The next time you install applications in your smartphone, you must be wary.
