Institute for Quantum Science and Technology at University of Calgary Database dumped


A hacker who claimed to be from “Anonymous Zamboanga” initiated an attack to the website of Institute of Quatum Science and Technology at the University of Calgary in connection to an operation called, #opSecure.

The institutional building is based in Canada formerly known as Institute for Quantum Information Science.

Using a handle sp4nksta the hacker dumped the website’s database(www.iqst.ca). A paste hints it is vulnerable to a SQL injection, specifically a blind injection, boolean based.

Sp4nksta discloses, the Database name, Table names and a number of Table data. In the “members” table, about 170 user information were exposed and another 350 entries from the “person” table.

Email addresses from the registration table were also exposed in clear text and user details (id, username, passwords) as well.
