Kim DotCom Promises 500000 PHP to the guy who can breaks Mega’s Encryption

The founder of Megaupload, now changed to MEGA promised to give 500k Pesos(€10,000, $13,600) to someone who can break and bypass the websites file encryption. The encryption of file is server based, that means all processes are made within Mega’s server. Who only gets access to files are those who have encryption keys.

The websites focus is now is privacy, and because of its offer, more “white-hat” hackers are being lured. Trying to figure out on how to successfully decrypt the box.

If you can remember, before the first day ends of MEGA’s launching, there has been several reports of XSS vulnerabilities in the website. DotCom said he is glad of the security experts doing such researched. Now, he made his promised by offering €10,000 ($13,600) to anyone who can break the encryption. But in today’s time, their is lesser possibility for any decryption of keys because of advancing technology.
