Massachusetts Institute of Technology Defaced by Alleged Member of Lulzsec, Sabu

Intruders successfully defaced the website, MIT.edu, early morning today(ph time). It appears to be a response of internet activitist Aaron Swartz’s death.

Swartz committed suicide 10 days ago after being prosecuted with MIT’s cooperation. He is accused of downloading the JSTOR files over the university’s network and upload it in the public for free.

In the deface page sees a black background with texts from Swartz blog. From the top, a bold text reads, “R.I.P. Aaron Swartz.” “Hacked by grand wizard of Lulzsec, Sabu. God Bless America. Down with Anonymous,” it continues in the middle page and some “Reddit sucks k.” 🙂

We can not assure you if it is really Sabu from Lulzsec, for as we all know he served as a FBI informative last year.

In the time of posting the site is already back in action.
