The hackers have told Cyberwarnews in Twitter they have leak 40k accounts of the Sony website.
Leaked data is uploaded to a file sharing site speedyshare, in a form of rar compressed format with a file name of “Sony.” According to Cyberwarnews.info, it has 2 XLS files in it.
Those XLS files as stated contained personal information and log of messages by the hacked Sony email system. There is over 41,000 lines of personal details, wherein 242 of them are duplicated.
Whats worse, the leak includes passwords in plain text along with full names, addresses, contact phone numbers, ages, genders and email addresses.
The incident is a downside to a big company like Sony, if it has not encrypted the user passwords.
The hacking however is not confirmed by Sony.
