Students sent false GPS signals, hacked $80 million yacht – Video

A video produced(above) by students with their professor,Todd Humphreys, from Texas shows  how to spoof a GPS.

Basically, the students created a device that sent false GPS signals to the million dollar yacht, then overrode the existing signals and amazingly took full control of it.

The experiment is done with the ships owner of course.

That is a serious flaw as chron blog reports, since the counterfeiting of the signals triggered no alarms.
