Syrian Electronic Army goes over Fox TV, hijacks Twitter accounts


 Hackread reported that the official Twitter accounts used by Hootsuite of FOX TV has been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army. The accounts are mainly used to post online content to different international FOX television networks around the world.

Syrian Electronic Army used the accounts for posting pro-Syrian tweets.

Another member of Syrian Electronic Army with moniker “th3 pr0” has claimed his group has more than 200 social accounts linked to Hootsuite compromised.

A tweet from FOX TV UK confirmed they have been attacked by hackers and its security team is fixing the issue.

Its remarkable that it is the first attack by the Syrian Electronic Army after FBI announced the hacker group is a terrorist and now on wanted list.
